Crosby-on-Eden Primary School - Items filtered by date: March 2018

On Wednesday 21st March the school went on a visit to Glasgow Science Museum; to celebrate our Science Week. Each Class took part in a workshop ranging from a visit to the planetarium, collecting DNA, learning about our body or visiting NASA.Then children were able to explore the different exhibitions. It was so much fun, we learned lots, tested lots and came away wanting to know even more! We were very proud of ALL our children, who behaved impeccably. When can we go back?!

Music and Drama

Many of our pupils took part in Carlisle Music and Drama Festival. Class 2 performed two action songs, the Choir performed two songs and there were many readings and poems performed by lots of children throughout the year groups. We are most proud of every entry; it's not easy to stand up in front of a big audience. Well done! A special congratulation must go to Molly and Liv in Class 4; they performed a wonderful extract from Cinderella and won the trophy! We can't wait to come and see you in the West End when you are older girls. Big thanks to Mister King and Mrs Young for their support with all of the rehearsals.

This week, lots of our children are due to perform at The Music and Drama Festival in Carlisle. We are very proud of everyone who is taking part. Mrs Young has very kindly given her time to help our performers to rehearse and she has also organised this VERY special message from some of the stars of Matilda in the West End! A BIG thankyou to Mrs Young for all of her support.
