Crosby-on-Eden Primary School - Items filtered by date: May 2018

On Friday 18th May 2018, we celebrated the Royal Wedding of Meghan to Harry in true Crosby style. The whole school (including adults) arrived at school dressed in red, white and blue. Every class took part in art and craft activities as well as making food/ baking while keeping to the theme of red, white and blue.

Class 1 had great fun making banana, strawberry and blueberry smoothies.

Class 2 were busy making crowns, bunting, jelly and chocolate marshmallows.

Class 3 created some beautiful commemorative plates, red, white and blue gingerbread people and fruit kebabs.

Class 4 designed their own personal royal crests, flags, commemorative cups, blue and red sandwiches and cupcakes.

Our afternoon was spent having a fun party on the grass with friends and eating the delicious food we had prepared earlier. We even had some special visitors attend our exciting event!

Class 1 were so excited for their cake sale today Friday 25/5/18! They practised what to say and were so brave when the big children came to buy their cakes. They waited patiently for their turn to buy, and afterwards they helped to count the money too. I am delighted to say that for the cake sale they raised just over £80 and for the sponsored Ninja Warrior Course brought in a whopping £550! MASSIVE THANKS TO ALL. The money will be used to update our outdoor area.
